About Me
Corey Smith, LCSW, LCADC, CCS, ICGC-I
I graduated from Rutgers University with my Master’s in Social Work in 2020 and have been practicing in outpatient mental health and addiction recovery services ever since. Over the years, I’ve worked in both clinical and supervisory roles, supporting individuals and families navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, social anxiety, and various forms of addiction.
My experience includes working with both substance addictions (such as alcohol, drugs, or prescription misuse) and process addictions, which involve compulsive behaviors like gambling, gaming, or internet use that can become unmanageable or harmful over time.
My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and reflective. I believe therapy should meet you where you are and evolve with your needs. Depending on what feels most helpful, I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Coherence Therapy to support growth, insight, and lasting change.
